P2314T not working connected to Surface Pro 3 dock?
P2314T can't get monitor to display, either says "Enter Power Saving Mode" or says it isn't connected. Using Display port connection to MS Surface Pro 3 with docking station

Had the same issue. I reviewed the Microsoft forum. The AC adapter must be plugged into the Surface Pro 3 dock. It won't work by the Surface Pro 3 battery alone. Solved my problem. It would be nice if I could use both the dock mini display port and the surface display port at the same time. Didn't work. If you have had the dock plugged in and still get the problem then MS noted to update with the surface in the dock.
