P2314T Screen black and unresponsive.

The problem is that when the system is left for several hours the P2314T locks up. Upon returning and the mouse is moved, the system responds, including the second monitor. The P2314T screen stays black with blue power button illuminated. The power button is unresponsive. When the P2314T power supply is disconnected and then reconnected, the P2314T wakes up and behaves normally.

Chris M, thank you for your response. The issue is resolved. Yesterday, I installed the latest Windows 10 update and reinstalled the monitor drivers several times. In the end, I reinstalled the monitor driver on the disk. Then I installed the latest driver from the Dell website. I was not able to see any difference between the drivers when I looked inside of Device Manager. I did not look in the registry. This morning, after sitting all night the monitor awaken as it should. I repeated the correct response several times today. I believe the issue is resolved.

For information, the Dell monitor was installed on a working Windows 10 system. The previous monitor was an HANNSPREE HT231HPBU. It had been working correctly through many versions of Windows 10 Preview. I installed the P2314T on this working 10 system. When it didn't wake up properly, I installed a second monitor to verify that the system was waking up correctly. Therefore, I believe the issue was a Dell monitor driver issue that is now resolved.

Test the P2314T as the only monitor connected to the computer. Also test computer video card VGA to monitor VGA. Did you have the issue before installing Windows 10?
