P2418HT, firmware update enquiry/ help!
Hi all,
I have started experiencing some touch screen issues off a couple of Dell P2418HT monitors - appears that all the monitors that I am having issues with are from the same/ similar hardware runs, and so I have been investigating the monitors directly rather than the computer it is connected to. This theory has been backed up by switching monitors between computers, and the issue following the monitor, rather than remaining with the computer. On investigation, it appears that there is new firmware available for the monitors, with some monitors displaying firmware M2T102, and some displaying firmware M2T207. The monitors with firmware M2T207 have not been having issues. I have attempted to download a firmware update as advised through the device drivers + downloads section, however it appears to only be holding a touch monitor driver (downloaded, has not resolved error), and a display manager.
I have also done the following troubleshooting - Turning off power saving measures, switching uplink cable, adjusting power settings, factory resetting the monitor, changing power supply, adjusting service settings for timeout, updating PC BIOS and more
Is there somewhere else I should be looking? Or is it unavailable for self-service,
Thanks,

Dell never released a customer accessible firmware update to the P2418HT Drivers & Downloads page. Back then, an in warranty user would have received a used/refurbished exchange which would have the latest firmware on it.

@DELL-Chris M Hi Chris, so is there anything that can be done about the scree firmware at all? Or is it a bit of a planned obsolescence scenario. I've rejigged some devices so that the impacted screens are not as critical to the business, but am still concerned about the long term ramifications of these screen errors

There is nothing we can do. The files were never made available to us.
