P2419H, two monitors, different colors

Hello,

I have purchased two Dell monitors P2419H from the same shop, and I have spot the color difference between them, likely the same issue as described in this topic.

Just to be sure, if it's not cable/output issue, monitors are connected to one laptop through same two hdmi cables (same in terms of model/manufacturer). I have also done factory reset under other options within OSD menu for both of them.

S/N of those monitors are:

CN-087V1Y-TV200-03D-0CMB
CN-087V1Y-TV200-03C-27KS

According to e.g. this post.

Basically I would like to have same colors on both monitors and I have two questions:
1) is serial number unique for every monitor manufactured (I suppose not),
2) will it be possible that in the case of monitors with the same "OEM manufacturer code", the colors will be identical / very similar? Since my idea is to ask shop to replace one of the monitor with another one matching the OEM manufacturer code.

Regards,
Sebastian

This case is being worked via Private Message by DELL-Cares. I am only adding public notes.

All Dell monitor panels are uniquely calibrated at the factory to their own unique panel. But, they are not compared to each other on the factory line. No two panels are identical, even of the SAME model. The color and tint may not match between the two but still be within manufacturer specifications. These two pass our manufacturer specifications for overall color. If you want the closest match, you will need to purchase calibration hardware (colorimeter) and software. Then calibrate both monitors.

Possible workaround =
* First, "Factory Reset" both monitors in the OSD Menu- Others
* Set monitor #1 to Preset Modes Standard; Input Color Format RGB
* Open the Menu for monitor #2
* Go to Color
* Choose Preset Modes Custom Color; Input Color Format RGB
* Within Preset Modes Custom Color; tweak the Red/Green/Blue to try to "match" the other monitor
