P2715Q, horizontal black stripe
Since a couple of days, I have experienced an annoying issue with my Dell P2715Q screen. As you can see on the pictures, a black stripe has appeared from the left (dead pixel?). My question is actually whether it makes sense to have it repaired or is the screen just written off? P2715Q is no longer covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
* I tried with different HDMI cable. Unfortunately no change
* When I remove the HDMI cable, stripe stays also on display (Dell native startup screen).
* Strip is then white on black background
Someone advice? Ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Power Button Reset/Built-in Diagnostics
* Turn the monitor off
* Disconnect every cable (including the power cable) from the rear and side of the monitor
* If a mechanical monitor power button, press the button in for 8 seconds (clears any residual power in the circuits). If not a mechanical power button, just wait 8 seconds
* Reconnect ONLY the power cable to the monitor
* Turn the monitor on and run the Built-in Diagnostics, page 44
- If the issue appears on the gray/red/green/blue/black/white/text screens, the monitor is defective
- If the issue does not appear, the monitor is functional. The fault lies with either the cabling, video card, video card driver, or operating system

Thank you for fast reply. Unfortunately the monitor is defective.
I guess it has no sense to repair (because probably high costs) ?
Do you advise new Dell monitor in such situation?

A replacement monitor is needed. You can use the Dell monitor sales site to choose search options like price, resolution, ports, etc.
