P2715Q, slows down my MacBook Pro
I have a Macbook Pro 2.2ghz i7 with 16GB of ram connected to my Dell P2715Q via displayport. For some reason whenever I use the monitor, the computer slows down a LOT. Animations on browsers are choppy, scrolling is choppy and the fan is constantly on in activity monitor.
If I disconnect the monitor and use just the laptop display, everything works as expected.
Is the laptop not powerful enough or have I missed a setting somewhere?

It could be the 60Hz versus 30Hz.
* Open the monitor OSD (On Screen Display) -Display
* Change MST to Primary (4k2k 3840x2160 30Hz)
If the slow down does not happen with this setting, then the culprit is something in the apple.

I'm told that no valid MST signal is found?

Thanks for this, I just did that and now the monitor has gone blank and I'm unable to wake it.
I am also unable to show the OSD as it only allows me the option to choose between DP, mdp and HDMI.
Help?!

Press any monitor button. The input source menu will appear with a check on the port you were using. Press the green check mark (√) button for about 8 seconds. What appears? Do you have the ability to switch the MST option back to Off?

I have managed to change the MST value back to off. Is this something the Macbook should support?

I've managed to get it back, but it tells me that no valid MST signal is found?

This is the first report I have seen of this issue. Unfortunately, Dell does not test/validate this monitor model on Apple hardware, ports, and software. Is there a non-Apple computer to test the monitor on? You might want to post on the Apple Forum to see if they can assist.

Thanks for this. Unfortunately, having a look on the Apple site a *lot* of people are having the same issue. It's a huge disappointment especially since this screen is meant to be the best.
