P2717H, moving vertical stripe

Hello,

I have a Dell Monitor P2717H monitor. Unfortunately is not under warranty anymore. The monitor worked perfectly until one day suddenly started showing a wide vertical strip moving around the screen from left to right. The monitor powers on without any problem, and you can see the video signal from a computer. The only problem is that it has the vertical stripe in the middle. Do you know what may be causing this problem? Do I have any hopes of fixing it? If you could point me to what internal component or circuit may be causing this problem, I would appreciate it.
