P3421W, MacBook Pro 15, USB hub problems

Hello i'm using the P3421W with my Macbook and I have problems with the USB hub functionality.

It really comes to light with my Logitech MX Receiver which connects my Logitech mouse and Keyboard with my mac.

I switched from a different DELL Monitor to this one 2 days ago. Had no problems with the other ones USB connectors ever.

Here it seems like sometimes my Macbook doesn't recognize the USB peripherals from the monitor.

Has anyone had the same issues?

THanks in advance

Hey thanks for answering. I didn't really get closer to solving this.

Do I have to add the downstream USB cable to the monitor when I'm using a USB Type-C to C cable?

sascharissling,

That is an unknown for Dell. Go here and see that Apple macOS is NOT listed on the supported Operating system drop down.

The online P3421W User's Guide page 8 shows us that the P3421W USB Type-C port can deliver up to 65W. So on a Dell Windows PC that requires 65W or less, all you would need is the provided USB Type-C cable to "enable" the four USB downstream ports.

Since this does not work with your non-tested/non-validated Apple macOS PC, you should test using the additionally provided USB upstream cable.
