don't be too hard on yourself, people make mistakes.Ü were you tinkering on the controls in the monitor? what type of monitor do you have? is it an M991? P990?

You don't say what your display adapter or monitor is, but just by chance you may have selected the rotation feature. Go to your display properties, settings, advanced, see if you have a tab that says rotation. If you do, select that and change view 90 degrees right or left, depencing on which way your display rotated.

Hi nanners53,

You did not include any information about your system, so these instructions may not be exact. The usual method  is to right click on your desktop and choose graphic properties...
Look for Display Settings, and then look for a checked box that says Enable Rotation. Uncheck that box.
By disabling rotation, you take away the chance of this mistakenly happening in the future.

**Note: The steps may be different for different computers and graphics cards, but the key is to disable rotation.
