Problem installing software for new ViewSonic monitor.

I'm trying to install a new non-Dell monitor. The software starts installing, but after a short while i get the message "The InstallShield Engine (iKernel.exe) could not be launched. No such interface supported". I've tried downloading an Engine update from InstallShield, and according to the Properties in the program file, that has worked. But it has made no difference. Haven't had response from ViewSonic support yet. Anyone else experienced this?

What system are you running? And are you trying to connect via VGA or DVI?

 

Have had 2 non-Dell monitors recently (both DVI) that have been plun-n-play...no software to install.
