Problems with daisy chaining
Hi, I have a Lenovo W540 laptop that suppost DP1.2 and a U2415h monitor connected with the supplied mini dp to dp cable. I am trying to also connect to a Sony television. I have a DP to HDMI adapter that is dp1.2 compliant and I have turned on the 1.2 mode on the monitor. I have also updated the monitor drivers from dell. No matter what I do, I can't get the computer to recognize the TV or get anything to display on it when it is daisy chained. Am I doing something wrong or for some reason can you not daisy chain through HDMI with an adapter?

Unfortunately, that will not work. The Dell daisy chaining can only be done through DP (DisplayPort) and Mini-DP. Any addition of HDMI in the chain will fail.
