quick question

monitor is a 1704 fpv, I go to turn it on and when I turn it on it turns on black for like 1 secnd, then loads my screen. Is this the way its suppose to be? To be more specific, I turn on the monitor, but when I turn it on, it loads the screen all black for two seconds, you can see it is on, just with an all black screen and then it loads my actual screen. Is this just the monitor warming itself up and suppose to happen or is this a defect? Thanks a ton guys!
