Replacement 2007WFP with one stuck pixel: what next?

Apologies for the extent to which this is a repost, but I am unclear as to my options here.

One stuck pixel isn't bad, and this one isn't totally stuck--it will go black, blue, or red, so it doesn't stick out in all situations. It *does* stick out on white or grey or any color that isn't pure blue or red (or purple for some reason...).

I have had this replacement 2007WFP for about a week, and I am wondering if the only way I can exchange it for another one is to pay shipping and handling and send mine back before receiving another one. If that is the case, I will just deal with the stuck pixel and hope I can convince it to go away. I'm not going to pay to play Russian Roulette and chance ending up with a monitor with more defects.

Does anyone know if I can receive the same treatment (free shipping and return shipping, getting the new before returning the old) I did when getting my A02 monitor to replace my A00? I know it's not likely, but I appreciate your answers!

What you describe sounds truly bizarre and I'm sorry you're having such problems!

I just used the zoom feature on my monitor, and the pixels don't "swim" at all, and text is still sharp, unlike my A00.

Since I got a replacement A02, when did my 21 days start?

PS--I have run UDpixel for a little bit but I have this irrational fear of creating more stuck pixels or getting the one I have stuck worse...information to the contrary would be welcome.

I know this has been suggested before, but the UnDead Pixel program lets you cycle an area as small as one pixel if you want to try it.

The problem has happened on both of my monitors. I just don't know why, maybe too much power being run through USB? Meh.

Anywho, there is an article online about "Massaging" out your stuck pixel. This is definatly not recommended by me, since I want no liability (lol), but if you google for it, you should find it (I'm personally not even going to attempt it)

Before 21 days you are pretty much entitled to all the replacements that you could ever want I believe (as long as there is a problem) and after that, your replacement will be a refurbished model.

Personally I've decided to just wash my hands of the entire thing. The replacement monitor I recieved still shows signs of banding, has a dead pixel, a couple of stuck pixels (That just receantly became stuck, after I decided to return the monitor). I had originally thought the banding wasn't enough to notice; that is, untill I did a little work with gradients while making a wallpaper and..there it was =/ over VGA no less.

To further add insult to injury, the blurry text problem has come back; It's as if the new firmware just sort of wore off and now all the problems are returning. Upon using the monitor's "Zoom" functionality, it was easy to see why; The pixels are all twitchy and jittery like they were on my version 00 monitor (and that I had tested the A02 for, and had passed the test). So in other words, a little more than a week into the life of this "Fixed" monitor, it's gone back to exhibiting all of the flaws that the original defective monitor had, this being the case, I'm returning this thing as defective (Which better mean I don't have to pay for shipping...) for a refund, and I will probably never do business with dell again, especially if it costs me an extra 20 bucks (or more..the thing weighs a ton) to get it back to them for my refund.

(..Unless they have another too-good-to-be-true deal like the one on the 2007WFP...I'm such a chump!)

I have run across the 'massaging' idea, too, and personally, I'm a little scared about destroying neighboring pixels.
