S-IPS or not!

I know that this subject gets beat to death sometimes, but all I want is an honest answer. I want to buy either the ultrasharp 24", or ultrasharp 20" but I must have S-IPS. Does anyone know if these monitors have S-IPS. If not, what monitors do. I want to spend money on a monitor, but can't find any with S-IPS. HELP James

2407WFP-HC is S-PVA
2007WFP has used both S-PVA and S-IPS
3007WFP-HC and the new 3008WFP are S-IPS

Try TFT Central's panel search. Input 'S-IPS' In 'Panel'.

Why do you have to emphasize on the S-IPS panel technology ? Among the LCD monitors of under 30 inch, the one with the widest color gamut is the 2407WFP-HC which has an S-PVA panel.

I have to emphasize s-ips because I do graphic and photographic work where color and contrast accuracy is the single most important thing. When comparing an s-ips with a pva type panel, the s-ips wins every time in accuracy. James

Are you sure ? I've heard the percentage of color gamut the 2407WFP-HC features is the highest among the LCD monitors on the market and the monitor uses an S-PVA panel.

The extended gamut is due to the W-CCFL backlight, not the panel. The 3007WFP-HC and 3008WFP monitors combine extended gamut with S-IPS panels.
