S2340M, not detecting PC DVI-D, will for other device

I connect my S2340M to my PC via a DVI-D cable and HDMI adapter. I recently disconnected the S2340M from the PC and now when I plug it back in, my S2340M displays "No DVI-D cable" and enters PSM (Power Save Mode). The HDMI out port on the PC works for other monitors and I tried changing cables/adapters with no luck. I can take this same S2340M and cable/adapter and use it with a PS3. There are no issues detecting the device and displaying on the S2340M. I've tried the troubleshooting guide on the Dell website as well. Any idea what I'm missing?

* Click my DELL-name and private message me the S2340M service tag number and 20 digit alphanumeric serial number so I can log this case

* From whom and when did you purchase this S2340M? If not purchased directly from Dell, you have to transfer it into your name. Read this

* What PC model?
* What Windows operating system?
* What video card model is installed in the PC?
* What video out ports are available on the PC video card to test on the S2340M DVI/VGA video in ports?

* Turn the PC and S2340M off
* Disconnect every cable from the S2340M
* Press and hold the S2340M power button for 8 seconds
* Connect like this =
PC HDMI out port --> HDMI to DVI adapter --> DVI to DVI cable
* Turn the S2340M on, then the PC
* Press the S2340M Menu button
* Go to Input Source
* Check DVI-D
* Exit the Menu

Chris,

I think I'm all set. Your question about the multiple video out ports was what I was missing from my initial troubleshooting and it lead me to issues with my screen resolution which in hindsight makes much more sense than an issue with the monitor itself, all things considered.

Thank you!
