S2419HGF, two laptops, share keyboard and mouse
Hi,
I am connecting this S2419HGF with two laptops. While buying, what I thought that keyboard/mouse attached to its downstream port, would work with both laptop display I switch to, but it is designed to work only on a particular laptop device where upstream port is plugged in! It means that I have to plug the upstream port to other laptop, when I am working with that laptop! Its a headache. Is there any way, that I can use same keyboard/mouse with both laptops?
Thanks.

Thank you for your message. The system is working as designed. There is no option where you can have a keyboard & mouse connected to one computer (USB upstream) & make the input work on a different computer.
You will need to use a separate USB keyboard/ mouse which is connected on the other computer or you will have to change the upstream cable every time you switch computers.

In the thread https://www.dell.com/community/Monitors/Looking-for-a-monitor-with-two-upstream-ports/m-p/7261906/highlight/true#M120000 you can see models that support what you want.
