S2716DG, completely white screen, #3

Hello,

I have a Dell S2716DG that I have had for nearly 5 years. Then all of the sudden yesterday the screen went completely white no matter what I did.

I can remove the display port cable and it is still completely white. I have unplugged the power for several minutes, and tried holding the power button down for over 10 seconds.

As soon as I plug is in, and leave all other cables disconnected, it still shows a completely white screen.

With some googling, it looks like the display board ribbon cable has come and and needs to be reconnected.

Am I out of luck? I purchased this through a reseller on Amazon. I cannot tell if the warranty is 1 year, 3 years, or 5 years. It looks like it is normally 3 years, but Dell support website says it is only 1 year. When I google, I can see that warranties for monitors can last up to 5 years. If so, I would like to get covered as I only have a couple of days left on the 5 years!  Please help.

The purchased 1 year warranty expired 4 years/1 month/6 days ago on October 28, 2018.

Do you have your Amazon invoice as proof showing the warranty period? If not, then all Dell can go by is what the private Service Tag shows us. Click the hyperlinked DELL-Cares username. On the right, click, "Send this user a private message". Send them the private Service Tag.
