S2718HN, Nvidia GTX 960, HDR problem
Hello!
I need help with Dell HDR. I have GTX 960 which support HDR. Windows 10 Creative Update and last Nvidia driver (384.94). When I turn on HDR in windows screen settings, picture become low poly. All colors become grey and very dull. I need somehow define, is this monitor problem then it is warranty case. Or may be I doing something wrong.
Thank you in advance for your help.

You need to read through the S2718HN User's Guide. It discusses using the OSD (On Screen Display) Preset Modes, Movie HDR and Game HDR.

I have already read this manual. There is written how to enable HDR on monitor. But nothing writen about how to use it. I dont understand why picture become so terrible when I send HDR content to monitor.

HDR is specific to whatever HDR game or HDR movie you are using. So which are you using? When you open the OSD, what is the resolution at the bottom left? Try rolling back to the previous Nvidia driver, then retest.

Resolution is 1080p 60hz. I tested in 2 games and windows 10 hdr mode (in screen settings). Result is same: games and windows understand that monitor is HDR so they turn on HDR content, after that colors become gray and dark. I testet 5 different versions of nvidia drivers.

I am not convinced that the fault is with the monitor. Is there another computer to test on or a different video card to test in that computer?

It is working as designed. When done looking at HDR content, you have to right click on graphics properties and turn off the HDR feature. When you need to view HDR content, go back into the graphics properties and turn on the HDR feature.

Just purchased the same monitor recently.
I observed an issue with the resolution which is probably what the first post mentions "low poly". I tested this with a console device since there are no drivers and such that may affect the output. When I enable the HDR mode, although the device sends an 1080p 60Hz HDR signal (and the display says the same) the actual resolution displayed by the screen looks significantly lower in both Movie HDR and Game HDR which destroys the clarity and total benefit that we are supposed to get from the display.
I wonder if this is either bad design or something I havent figured in the settings.
Can you please check and confirm what is the case? Maybe the monitor cant handle fully HDR and 1080p simultaneously?

Alexanderson,
"low poly" I mean that colors become like in 8 or 6bit old collor monitors. Picture become without anti-aliasing at all (Even tex difficult to read), but it's still 1080p. I tried now to turn on HDR with 720p and picture become toxic pink and green (as if the cable is damaged). I think everything is easier, awful looking colors- is DELL HDR. Dell wanted sell cheap HDR monitor but DELL HDR technology just not working.
