S2719DM, DDM not working with Intel 7810 driver?
DDM (Dell Display Manager) 1.50.1996. does not work with Intel graphics driver 26.20.100.7810 on Intel UHD Graphics 620. Change came after normal Windows update on 19 APR 2020.
S2719DM monitor is connected and working fine, but DDM will not open and gives error message.
Monitor using Dell driver 1.1.0.0.
WIN10-64 on ThinkPad X1C 20KH connected directly to monitor via HDMI.

This cannot be fixed by a DDM update; it is never going to work with the 7810 Intel driver.
But Intel has fixed the issue in their latest drivers - currently 8476 here - and made their public drivers installable on mobile platforms, so there is no reason not to update.

This is a known issue. Try downloading and installing the latest 26.20.100.7985 driver release driver directly from Intel. You may need to install the driver manually if Intel's automated setup fails (which is usually does on laptops).

Edvard_NO,
Unfortunately, Dell does not have any driver support for the Thinkpad.

Thanks, but that driver version is not supported on my ThinkPad X1C.
"Error: The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Obtain the appropriate driver from the computer's manufacturer. Setup will exit."
I did try manual install and error message comes when trying to start igxpin.exe

What do you mean?
We are talking about Intel graphics drivers.
DDM worked perfectly fine with previous versions, before update.

Intel does not validate its drivers on the X1C. You need to install the driver manually thru Windows Device Manager > Display adapters > Update driver > Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick... > Have disk...
If you need an automatic installer, you also have the option of downloading and installing the Lenovo validated driver for the X1C, which is 26.20.100.7528.

Thanks, I tested manually via Device Manager and was able to install 7985, but DDM behaves identically to 7810; does not open and gives error message.
Did several reboots and reinstalled DDM.
If I roll back Intel UHD to 26.20.100.7528, DDM is working fine.
So, who is responsible for DDM compatibility when new graphics drivers are released,
if not the makers of Dell Display Manager?
For Dell representative:
https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/dell-s2719dm-monitor/drivers
The DDM file available for download is 1995 and upon install user is notified that a new version is available and must repeat install twice.

DDM prompts that a new version is available.
Available on Dell site: ddmsetup1995.exe
Update: ddmsetup.exe (1996)
I have 1.50.1996 installed.

DDM requires a display driver that supports DDC/CI. If the display driver does not support DDC/CI then DDM will not work - period. There is nothing that can be done about that on the DDM side.

Its not that they removed it deliberately; it is simply broken, and it can - and surely will - be fixed in a future release.
It doesn't just affect DDM. It also affects similar programs from other monitor manufacturers like NEC's NaviSet and EIZO's ScreenManager Pro.
You may want to try 26.20.100.7985 again. I know you wrote that it did not fix the issue, but it is possible that it did not actually get installed, so after installation reboot and then double check the driver version in Device Manager. When installing manually, I have sometimes had to install twice to get the driver I wanted to take. If it doesn't work, you can always install the Lenovo approved 26.20.100.7528 driver.

Do you think Intel has removed DDC/CI support on latest graphics driver?
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000007175/graphics-drivers.html
Or what do you mean? The Dell S2719DM Monitor Driver is the same.

So you are saying that Intel releases new graphics drivers that are either broken or missing functionality that was present in the previous version?
Yeah, that makes sense for a small backyard company like Intel.
Something is not right here.
I have 26.20.100.7985 installed and it does not work with DDM.

Anyways, I give up. Thank you for your assistance.
Dell support and moderator: Thanks for nothing.

Yes, I am saying *exactly* that. And they do it fairly often, compared to AMD (occasionally) and NVidia (never that I recall).
But I am using 7985 with a HD 620 right now, so perhaps you are looking at a different issue. Post the DDM diagnostic report to see: while holding down the SHIFT key, right-click on the DDM system tray icon and select "Save diagnostic report".

BTW glad I found your post. Am having the same problem with a Dell U2718Q monitor. Using Intel UD 620 driver 27.20.100.7988 on a ThinkPad P43s. Have you got this to work in anyway other than by rolling back the driver? I am using an HDMI cable although I don't think it matters if its HDMI or DisplayPort.
