S2721DGFA, DDM not communicating
I have two S2721DGFA monitors. When I try to open DDM (Dell Display Manager) I get the following notification "This program cannot communicate with any supported Dell monitors. Check your display driver, cables and connections".
I am connected via Surface Pro dock mDP to monitor HDMI.
Any help appreciated thanks.
I tried to post the diagnostic report but the forum rules don't seem to be allowing me?

So 0xC0262589 is a driver error reported by Windows and simply relayed by DDM. Its likely to be just with the specific Intel driver build you are running (this happens often enough). The only solution is to change the Intel driver to the latest one - which is 31.0.101.3222 - or, if you using that, roll back to any earlier one.
If possible, you should also try to test connect directly to the Surface Pro, bypassing the dock, to ensure the dock isn't interfering.

* Open the Monitor Menu- Others
* Make sure DDC/CI is On
* Exit the Menu
* Use the free Intel DSA (Driver Support Assistant) utility to check and if needed install the latest Intel Chipset, Network, Storage (IRST), and Video GPU drivers

I have done both of these things prior to posting. I can confirm display adapter driver is up to date and DDC is set to on. There are some error messages in the diagnostics report. The forum is not allowing me to post the content though.

The DDM diagnostic report is just an ASCII text file, so if need be just cut and paste the relevant error messages into a reply to this post. You should be able to paste the entire report, which is better still.

Something is stopping me posting the whole text so I'm pasting the errors

So I initially used the Intel driver assistant which told me all drivers were up to date. Upon further inspection I saw I have a much older driver than the one you listed and also a note saying the following:
"A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver & Support Assistant is not able to update the driver..."
I tried to manually download the driver you mentioned but it didn't allow me too since it is locked by the manufacturer.
However, I skipped the driver issue and looked at the dock and noticed there was a firmware update. Unfortunately, I decided to take two steps at the same time. I downloaded the firmware update and I also connected the Surface direct to one of the monitors before reopening DDM. It worked so I then plugged the monitor back into the dock and DDM continued to work!
So the issue is solved but I don't know which of these steps fixed the issue. I can say that the second monitor still didn't work with DDM until I connected it directly, opened DDM to confirm it worked and then reconnected to the dock.
Thanks a lot for your support, I would have been stuck without your help.
