S2721DS, LCD panel manufacturer?
I cannot identify the panel manufacturer. The panel model is not indicated anywhere in the service menu. Is AUO, LG or another manufacturer installed here? Why is Dell hiding the panel manufacturer?

Dell uses five different monitor manufacturer. Many times the same "model" may use different LCD panels. This is why we do not mention LCD manufacturer.
All we have ever listed in the monitor specifications was the panel technology type =
TN (Twisted Nematic)
VA (Vertical Alignment)
IPS (In-Plane Switching)
PLS (Plane to Line Switching)
AHVA (Advanced Hyper-Viewing Angle)

Previously, the panel model could be seen in the service menu. I already have a second monitor with panel defects in the form of dead pixels, model S2721DS. I'm waiting for a service replacement. This is such a bad quality.

DELL-Chris M correctly stated our policy stance on monitor manufacturer. Can you let us know what the exact issue is to why you are looking for with the manufacturer of the panels? Let us know.
Note, the monitor FSM (Factory Service Menu) is NOT something customers should be in!
The monitor FSM (Factory Service Menu) is only used by our monitor manufacturer service center. Dell Technical Support cannot assist you with the FSM. If you break the monitor by making a change in the FSM, the purchased warranty is voided.

Because panels from LG and Samsung are of higher quality and more durable than chinese manufacturers. Previously, it was possible to see the panel model in a dell monitor, now this is not possible. Why dell decided to hide it is not clear. I understand that there are different price segments and it is not profitable to install more expensive panels everywhere, but if you pay attention to different specialized forums, people choose a monitor not only by brand, but also by the installed panel. It is important.
