S2721QS, 2 computers, how to connect

Hi,

Please advise if anyone knows. I just received my new Dell S2721QS monitor and have set it up. I can connect it individually to my Dell XPS 13 laptop and my Wacom Mobile Studio Pro.

I am finding difficulties:
1. Switching from one computer to the next
2. Trying to see if I can see BOTH the computer screens on my Dell S2721QS monitor

Advice much appreciated. I need (Ideally) to be able to use both together and to know is this is possible.

Thank you!

Our users need more data before they can assist =
- Which XPS 13? There are 14 XPS 13 models.
- List all of the video out ports on the Wacom Mobile Studio Pro

Both computers have tyep C with thunderbolt support

Get of 2 of these Type C to HDMI cables

If you are planning to use both computers at the same time.

You can switch between HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 from Monitor's OSD menu.

To get more comfy you can use a KVM switch to switch between computer with one push of a button,

Note : I haven't tested KVMs on a Mac.

I am aware of DDM but This monitor model doesn't list MacOS in Supported OS

I think that monitor supports Dell Display Manager, so you could confiugure a hotkey to switch the input from one computer to the other.

I'd assumed the Dell laptop was running Windows. As long as it isn't in sleep mode, and not at screen lock, then it would still react to the hotkey, even when it isn't the current source for the monitor. DDM can be set up so a single hotkey toggles between two sources.

Yes, switching from windows to mac hotkey would work,

But to switch back to Windows from Mac you'd need to find some OSX software or run DDM under BootCamp.

I think I am thinking too far, so you have the computer and mac available along with the monitor

Thank you.  I am sorry but I am geting a bit confused with messages here then emails.

Basically I just bought my new monitor and have not been able to do PDP or PIP as the monitor terminal does not seem to recognise whatever DP cable I attach to it.  I have seen online there have been a few people with this problem but I cannot find a solution.  Please advise urgently.  Thank you

I am having this same problem with my S2721QS and not able to to PBP/PIP because the DP is not recognizing anything! This has been a cause of frustration for me since I got this monitor a week ago. Defeats the purpose of my buying it. There have been these complaints but no solutions I can find anywhere. Please help.
