S3222DGM, too green?

Question

I just bought the S3222DGM, and, to my eyes, whites appear to have a greenish tint when I select the Standard mode. The three Game modes look the same. Interestingly, the Custom Color mode looks better to me, when all its settings are left at default. I would have expected the Standard mode to be the same as the Custom Color mode with all three gains set to 100, but it isn't.

Reviewers are recommending to use the Custom Color mode with the Red and Blue gains turned down a bit, which also makes the screen appear greenish to me. I just bought this S3222DGM in September 2022 so I'm wondering if Dell has changed the calibration since reviewers tested their sample.

Any input would be appreciated. Does your Custom Color mode look different to your Standard mode? Does your Standard mode look greenish, etc.?

1st, the private Service Tag still shows this S3222DGM as registered to Best Buy. You need to register it into your name.

2nd, you should take and post pictures of all the modes so other S3222DGM users can view them as comparisons.

Here are the photographs you suggested, taken with an LG V35 phone, with white balance turned off, and all other settings such as ISO and exposure time kept the same. The monitor's brightness and contrast settings are also the same in each photo. These pictures don't really show the greenish tint. It's more of a yellow/green in these photos. The only way to truly capture the subtle differences is with an expensive DSLR, which I do not possess.

I've had a S3220DGF for a few years and recently upgraded my second monitor to the newer S3222DGM. Upon adding the S3222DGM, I found the colors to be way off on it. I tried everything, including the custom color settings found in another post. Never could get it right and accepted that it will be off...until I noticed consistency in color on both monitors when using my work laptop.

After digging into my display settings, I found that my graphics card was making use of the S3222DGM's 12 bit depth capability, whereas the older S3220DGF was on 8 bit depth (no 12 bit capability).

I have a Radeon RX 580 and was able to reduce the bit depth on the S3222DGM from 12 to 8 in the AMD software. This fixed my problem and the odd vibrancy is now gone.

Not sure if this is what anyone else is dealing with, but worth checking bit depth to see if that may be your culprit.
