S3422DW, two, HP laptop
Recently purchased two Dell S3422DW monitors and am looking to connect them to my work HP laptop that I use in my home office. My HP laptop has a docking station that has two DisplayPorts on it. If I connect each S3422DW separately to the two DisplayPort on the docking station, is that the best way to connect so I can use this as a dual monitor setup and extend the screens? I have been searching online and have thoroughly confused myself as to how to go about doing this the best way. Any help is appreciated. Also, will the DDM (Dell Display Manager) functionality with these monitors still work if I am using the HP laptop?

@Beamiecat Running two of those through a docking station will require a system and dock that both use Thunderbolt. A regular USB-C dock won’t have enough bandwidth to run two of those displays at their native resolution and refresh rate, unless you use a dock that relies on “indirect display” technology such as DisplayLink — not to be confused with DisplayPort. But that has drawbacks of its own compared to native GPU-based output. But if you have a Thunderbolt-based setup, then connecting through the dock is probably best. If you have a DisplayLink dock, that setup is fine as long as you can live with the drawbacks inherent to DisplayLink, otherwise you’ll have to avoid using the dock. And if you have a USB-C native GPU setup, you’ll only be able to run one of those displays through the dock. The second would have to be connected some other way, such as directly to another USB-C or HDMI port on your system. (FYI when asking for technical assistance, it helps to provide basic technical information such as the exact models of the equipment you’re using, even if non-Dell.)
I believe DDM works on non-Dell systems, but haven’t confirmed.

Laptop model and Dock model would help ??
Yes as far as the setup is concerned you are using it the right way
Monitors are QHD (1440p ) 100hz and if you want to utilize the monitors to their fullest potential you will need a thunderbolt dock and thunderbolt port on your Laptop.
DDM will work if it find a compatible Dell monitor. I have been using it on some of my third party computers.
