S3422DWG, resets Response Time upon waking?

Question

Hi! I recently purchased a S3422DWG monitor. It's been an amazing upgrade for me but with one problem I can't figure out how to remedy. Every time my computer wakes up or turns on, the S3422DWG flashes a notification that the refresh rate is too low and can't use the MPRT (1 ms Response Time) setting. I've had to manually change the Response Time back whenever I turn it on. I know how to set the refresh rate, and it never changes from 144Hz and hasn't randomly changed itself either. It's only the Response Time in the S3422DWG settings that changes on its own. It has this issue whether it's going into standby mode or turning off. I have a second monitor that also has 144Hz/1 ms and it's never had this problem, and neither did the one I replaced this new one with. Any ideas? Or am I forever doomed to fumble with the back of my S3422DWG daily to change it back?

I have the same issue, everytime I restart PC the monitor gives a warning saying that my refresh rate is too low. It changes the response time to super fast instead of MPRT. Is there a solution to this? thank you

Dell has been in contact with me since I posted this. Did a lot of troubleshooting and no fix was found. They said they'd bring this to the attention of their engineering team. That was 12/27, no update since then.

Perform a  factory reset on the monitor to see if that will resolve the issue.

Was in contact with Dell for about a month trying to figure this out. Turns out that it is designed to work this way. In my opinion, that is an extremely flawed design and shouldn't be necessary to manually change it back every time I use my PC. I have $100 monitors with the same 1ms and 144Hz that do not reset anything upon waking, but this $500 ultrawide display does. It's a fantastic monitor and I do love it, but it isn't laziness to want your settings to stay the same and expect things to work how they should.

This is an expected behavior and working as designed. Whenever the system is rebooted or enabled from screen idle, the frame rate will be low (although the value will show same when checked), this makes the system to change the response time.

I'll leave this here for future lurkers.

In order to keep the response time setting the same (in this case MPRT, which is the best for the monitor IMO) you just have to power up the monitor when window is completely booted up (either login screen or desktop if you don't have any login protection), since bios and starting logo screen do not retain the same refresh rate setting as the OS
