SB522A, stopped working with macOS, #2
Hello!
I have a "Dell Slim Conferencing Soundbar - SB522A" in my setup using a MacBook Pro that used to work seamlessly until now. I used to connect to the SB522A through my monitor and be able to control answer Teams calls and mute/unmute microphone. But with no changes to the setup the SB522A just stopped being recognized by the MacBook Pro / teams. The white led is not on anymore and when joining a call there is no sound/mic available and the green and red LEDs are off too. Am I missing any recent update? Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot this issue?

I tried to plug it in directly to the Mac instead of the monitor and it has the same behavior where nothing works. I plugged it in to a PC directly and through the monitor and everything works as expected. So Im wondering if some kind of update was released that removed Mac compatibility or if someone knows if I need to tweak some configuration on my Mac to make it work again

The online SB522A drivers page only shows Windows Operating system 8/10/11 compatibility. So Dell cannot know why it worked on macOS and now why it does not work on macOS. Start a new thread on the Apple Forum and ask those users for advice.
The online SB522A Usage and Troubleshooting Guide also only mentions Windows Operating system.

New soundbar firmware was issued December 2023 that may help you. Firmware Version 3.08.9, A02
