SE197FP, blank, blinking power light

This monitor was working fine but suddenly it won’t start. I get blank screen with blinking power light and a minor beep sound every 2 secs or so. I checked and used different cable but no change. I isolated the monitor completely from PC and connected it directly to the wall outlet. No change is the monitor dead?

I do see any service tag for this monitor. I saw the barcode that I have added in Labels

For this 14 year old out of warranty SE197FP built on August 13, 2006, try the following =

* Turn the monitor off
* Disconnect every cable (including the power cable) from the monitor
* Press the power button in for 8 seconds (clears any residual power in the circuits). If not a mechanical power button, just wait 8 seconds
* Reconnect ONLY the power cable to the monitor
* Turn the monitor on and run the Self-Test Feature Check (STFC), page 25/26. If it runs, then the fault is with your PC

Hello,

To run the self test, the screen should display something. I isolated the monitored and powered it directly from the wall outlet. I still dont see anything on screen. I only see the power button blink ( it can't be turned on and off, even if I hold it for 15 secs) and I hear small beep every few miutes.
