SE2417HGX, unable to remove the stand

Question

I recently bought a SE2417HGX monitor and was using it just on the stand. I am wanting to remove the stand and I have followed the instructions in the User's Guide and nothing is removing the stand. I have also googled it and found a few others with the issue but nothing mentions if they managed to remove it or not. What can I do here? I need to remove the stand but nothing I am trying is working. Does anyone have any suggests for me?

@angelinalblyth  According to Page 11 of the manual here, the display ships with the stand NOT attached.  So you or somebody else would have had to attach it, which obviously means that it's possible to remove.  If you're not able to figure out how to do that from the manual's instructions and diagrams, then unfortunately since I don't have one of those displays myself, I'm not sure what else to suggest other than asking someone else to try?  But it's definitely possible to remove the stand.

The best way to identify is use small light to shine ABOVE the stand top - you will see an arrow with a small depressed dimple that you need a small screwdriver to push directly down and stand slides off with ease.
