Second U2715H only displays 2048x1152
I have been reading FAQ's and forums all morning and cannot find the solution.
I have a Dell XPS 8700 with a AMD Radeon HD 7770 with 1 DP, 1 HDMI, and 1 DVI. I have the first U2715H connected to the DP and displaying 2560x1440. The second is through an HDMI High Speed cable.
HDMI® (With 4K, 3D, x.v.Color™ and Deep Color)
- Maximum resolution: 4096x2160 @ 30 Hz
- 1080p30 stereoscopic 3D (Packed Frame Format)
- Quad HD/4K/UHDTV video display support
The maximum resolution allowed in the second U2715H is 2048x1152. When I go into the 'Generic PnP Monitor and AMD Radeon HD 7770 Properties' it states a refresh rate of 60hz with no other options. When I go into the AMD Catalyst Control Center, the second monitor has a maximum resolution of 2048x1152@75hz.
What do I need to do to get both displaying 2560x1440? I am more concerned with resolution over refresh rates as it is not a gaming machine.

UPDATES
1. Since I was near our local computer store, I tried a DigitalPort Display Hub and the right click->screen resolution only sees one monitor after reboot. However, both monitors display the same desktop. Same in AMD Catalyst Control. So that seems like a waste and will be returned.
2. I tried to daisy chain these monitors. I plugged in both USB's, the DP out from monitor 1 to the mPD in monitor 2, went into both monitor menus to confirm DP 1.2 was activated and it gives the same result as the DigitalPort Display Hub.
SOLVED!
It turns out in the AMD Catalyst Control, when I hit update, it claimed to be up to date. Just to start fresh, I uninstalled it and downloaded the latest version and installed it. It was obviously apparent that it was different version from my 'up to date' version.
I am running Dell XPS 8500 w/ AMD Radeon 7770 DP->Dell U2715H#1 mDP and Dell U2715H#1 DP Out->Dell U2715H#2 mDP.
I must admit, I feel dumb since checking drivers and software was the first thing I did. 'Have you tried turning it off and on again... are you sure it is plugged in?' -The IT Crowd

I find it odd that AMD does not mention the highest resolution for its HDMI out port at 60 Hz? All four (monitor, cable, video card HDMI port, video card driver) must be HDMI 1.4 to get 2560x1600 60Hz. The monitor HDMI hardware is 1.4. So that leaves either the cable, the port on the video card, or the video card driver as the culprit. Some users with HDMI 1.3 or older have created a custom resolution using a lower Hz setting of 50Hz to 59Hz to get 2560x1440.

Does anyone have a tutorial to create a custom resolution with a lower refresh rate? It seems I cannot do it through the display advance settings (only 60hz listed) or catalyst control center. I am comfortable editing the registry.
Or would it be better to just get a DisplayPort hub? Would that work?
