setting up P2415Q with a Mac
I can only find support for Windows OS and none of the codes on my new monitor are accepted by this web site. All I want to know is how to set it up, adjust brightness etc. Since the disc is of no use.

You are correct. The website is only setup to receive a Dell Service Tag number which does not come on the P2415Q. The main P2415Q support website is here. The manuals are here. The drivers are here. But Apple is not supported.
For specific Apple operating system setup, you should post on the Apple Discussions Forum and see if they can offer some insight or troubleshooting steps.
