SP2208WFP not showing video during boot
I have just bought a Dell SP2208WFP 22" widescreen monitor and, after tweaking the colour/brightness/contrast settings I am impress with the quality of the screen image.
However, there is no video at all outside of Windows. While the computer boots I cannot see the initial screen (with prompt to enter BIOS) or the Windows XP logo with pulsing bar underneath. The first thing that appears is the Windows XP Welcome screen. I did try booting into the BIOS editor (using a different monitor) and then plugging in the new Dell monitor and that displayed with no problems. Does anyone know what could be causing this?
Some computer specification (it is not a Dell PC):
MSI MS-6533 motherboard
NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 graphics card
Using VGA lead to connect PC to monitor

Since the problem occurs before Windows loads, updating the graphics driver shouldn't make a difference, but it shouldn't hurt either.

Does this occur when trying both the VGA and the DVI?
