i have no input lag on my 2407 a03.  are you using a corded mouse or cordless?  are you seeing input lag during gaming or regular desktop use?

i would notice input lag if it was there.  i just came from a crt and there is no noticeable input lag when using the 2407.  i'm also very picky about input lag and have seen it on a few other lcds.  if you play a game that seems to exhibit input lag, it could be your graphics card not being powerful enough.  if you see input lag while using desktop windows, then it could be due to other factors.

nobluo, all,

This was brought up before. We cannot see any input lag on any of these monitors in the lab.

I think what people may think is input lag, may be a symptom of something else.

I've seen a number of new posters here running a 30" or 24" display they just bought, coupled to a low-end-of-midrange (i.e., nVidia 7900GS) video card, and then expecting great performance at high resolutions. When their framerate drops with antialiasing or other things turned on at a resolution the card is hard-pressed to perform well at, they interpret the hitching and dropped frames as input lag, when the real issue is the need of a video card capable of running said games at top resolution.

Currently, I have a Sapphire Radeon X1800GTO2 512MB, basically a low-clocked 1800XT, with a 2407WFP. Desktop resolution and normal Windows apps are great at the native 1920x1200. However, I don't run games higher than 1680x1050; it's just too taxing, and I'd start to get that hitching as well (I've already seen it when you push games like Oblivion beyond the limits of your video card). I think that when my Geforce 8800GTS eventually gets here, I'll be able to run at full 1920x1200 for most things, and have the best of both worlds. But for everyone else, I either recommend upgrading your video card (if you're a gamer) or lowering the resolution, but upping the antialiasing in your games. The boost in your framerate may remove whant many label incorrectly as input lag.

I'm not experiencing any input lag on my 2407WFP, and this is after recently upgrading from a 19" CRT.

Every monitor has input lag. What we're trying to say is this monitor, which I've seen test results on , has slight amount of input lag for a LCD panel. In other words you shouldn't notice it, like many have pointed out. Now could there be some other issue , of course, because clearly you have some problem somewhere. What that problem is we can't say, but I almost assure you it isn't input lag from the monitor alone. I'll try and go back and look for that thread I seen results for this at maybe others had mistaken lag for something else.

Here read this over, see if other compoents in your setup are helping create the lag you're seeing.

I am a competitive gamer, so naturally the first thing I did when I got my 2407 was ran input lag tests on it. My results were that the 2407 was consistently 4 hundredths of a second behind my CRT. Sure, I wish it was 0, but 4 hundredths of a second really inst a problem for me.

chris
have you guys run tests between a one of your crt's and a 2007wfp lcd? to say there is no input lag is very assinine when its evident that its definately there. to say that its not noticeable and to say that its not there are two different things.

what kind of tests are you doing exactly Chris? because quite frankly i dont believe that a HUGE company such as dell with a lab that has PLENTY of tools can not see any input lag in their monitors. with all due respect either your lab is incompetent or someone is not speaking the truth.

im about to return these monitors at this point im not too happy with dell
