Swapping monitors between 2 Dell systems
I have 2 Dell systems, Dimension XPS D300S with a 19" FST monitor running Windows 2000 Pro
and Dimension 4600 with a 17" E172FP monitor running Windows XP Home.
I want to swap the monitors over. What is the procedure for doing this?
The XPS is currently connected to the internet so I have downloaded R69063.EXE ready to install the driver for the flat panel screen.
The 19" screen shows 'No Driver is required or has been loaded' in device manager (Device name is Dell D1226H).
The XPS has a Diamond Multimedia Fire GL1000 Pro Video card.
The 4600 has integrated video.
I need a step by step procedure to follow for swapping the screens over, please. I'm sure its very simple, but I've never done anything like this before.

just swap it but the XPS_D should have an AGP card installed to support the digital connector of the flat panel. monitors are not as sensitive as video cards which should have the proper drivers installed in order to work properly.
