U2311H, Black bars
I use Office 365 and have had problems with Outlook freezing. Microsoft today found that there were earlier versions of Office Suites which were getting in the way so they were uninstalled. Now I have only one Office version and the Outlook problem seems to be solved. But it has created a new problem which Microsoft seem to have created but which they cannot solve. there are two black bars on either side of my screen, ie the screen picture does not fill the monitor and the print seems less clear than it was. Any help appreciated as even the mighty Microsoft are stuck!

Press the U2311H Menu button. The bottom Resolution should state, "1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz". Open the video card control panel, look for aspect or scaling. Set them to 0% or Full screen.

Thanks Chris, two clarifications if you don't mind.
1 the bottom option on menu doesn't seem to be Resolution. It ends at Personalize.
2 How do I get to the Video card control panel, it doesn't seem to be shown in Control Panel itself?

Depends on your operating system and specific video card?
