U2312HM, leftside purple tint
As stated in the above topic, i just bought this monitor recently around 2 months ago.Now out of sudden a pale purple tint started to appear at the left side of my screen.I already run the LCD test thingy and the problem is still present during test.In addition to that it got a weird wavy thingy at the same position.
No Events found!

no reply? anything? i've run the diagnostic test and there still some artifacts(ghost image occur) during the test plus the problem i've stated above, have run through factory reset , i use the cable provided by dell but it seems like the screen is getting worse.I really need help on this.This problem is driving me nuts

That warrants a like for like monitor exchange. See the instructions here for monitors that do not have Dell service tag numbers.

This problem is really irritating and could bring reasons for worry. However, a specialist told me that this may occur for a variety of reasons which include:
1. Presence of magnetic fields - move it away from stray magnetic fields like speakers.
2. Bent Cables - Check the monitor VGA cable pins to see if it has been bent or broken, then reconnect the cable securely.
3. Low voltage
4. Transistor problem for LCD monitors.
