u2312HM light diagonal lines

Hello,

I have recently purchased 2 Dell Ultrasharp U2312HM monitors and since taking them out of the box a few days ago I have noticed that any video that is solid white has diagonal lines running through it. They are very faint but noticeable enough to be a problem. Both my monitors have this issue and it seems to only be noticeable on the right half of the monitor.

I have tried doing self diagnostic and it shows up in the white portion of the diagnostic with no video input plugged into the monitor.

Both monitors have a manufacture date of February 2013.

Any help would be greatly appreciated or knowledge of how to start an RMA. I still have all original packing.

Thanks

Mark

mchafe82,

Reset the monitors to factory defaults using the monitor OSD (On Screen Display) -Other Settings Factory Reset -Reset All Settings. Once done post pictures of them doing the self-test. What are the PPID numbers?

Hello all,

I actually ordered the the same monitor in march too in the Netherlands were i live. I had the same problem as you did resets etc, didnt work so I wonder from Dell and the thread starter is the problem really solved? Im at the point to order a new one after I send the faulty one back. The website stated: This is'nt a problem this is just normal for this kind of screen. Wich I of course didnt believe and returned the monitor. Also the web community wasnt able the help me out with the problem. Or to point out the couse of this. Now I wonder if tis diagonal line problem is known by Dell and is there a Possible solution?

I hope you can answer my questions.

My monitor was also from February 2013. Delivered on 3 march and returned on 20 march. from the webshop azerty.nl
