U2410 Power button stopped working
Hi,
I am from India. I bought U2410 from ebay.in 6 months back and now I am having this weird problem that power button wont work unless I hold whole bezel containing other buttons..I have to press the bezel 2 or 3 times to get it powered on..I even thought of leaving it in standby mode so that i dont have to touch the power button again..but it did not work either....I left my monitor in standby mode whole night yesterday and today when there was a power cut(yeah..power cuts are common here as it is summer here) in the morning,the monitor refused to power on after power came back..
Is this common for such a premium model in the span of just 6 months...I want to have it replaced and I want to know the RMA process...
I dont have an order number as I bought it from ebay and not from dell..I only have the 20 digits PPID..will that suffice for getting the monitor RMAed...

This is a users helping users forum, we are not Dell employees. Any warranty issues must be dealt direct with Dell for your area.

Thats fine..all I am asking is for some suggestions from anyone who have faced such issues before to have this problem fixed

Contact the reseller on ebay and get the original Dell order number for the monitor. Not the ebay work order they generated when they sold it to you. The original Dell order number will tell us the start and end date of the warranty. If they paid for the warranty, we can transfer the monitor warranty into your name. If they cannot provide a Dell order number, we cannot verify the warranty period.
