U2413, DP, not recognized by DDM
I have a U2413 monitor which works very well using the DVI-D cable. It is recognized by DDM when using the DVI-D cable.
When I connect the U2413 to the DP cable instead of the DVI-D cable it is no longer recognized by DDM. It also produces error warnings in the notifications panel that "Dell U2413 is not responding to messages. Check the OSD, cables and NVidia display driver for DDC/CI support (0xC0262583)". I can connect a Dell P1917 monitor to the DP cable and it is recognized by DDM and produces no warnings.

Also DDC/CI is set to enable on the U2413 menu.

First, I assume that you are using the U2413 DP in port and retail DP to DP cable? Not the provided mDP to DP cable?
* Turn the PC off
* Turn the U2413 off
* Disconnect every cable (including power cable) from the U2413
* Disconnect the DP cable from the PC
* Press and hold the U2413 power button for 8 seconds
* Reconnect the power cable to the U2413
* Reconnect the DP to DP cable to the U2413 and the PC
* Turn the U2413 on, then the PC
* Once into Windows, open DDM

Yes the Dell DP to DP cable is in the DP In Port.
* Turn the PC off - Done
* Turn the U2413 off - Done
* Disconnect every cable (including power cable) from the U2413 - Done
* Disconnect the DP cable from the PC - Done
* Press and hold the U2413 power button for 8 seconds - Done
* Reconnect the power cable to the U2413 - Done
* Reconnect the DP to DP cable to the U2413 and the PC - Done
* Turn the U2413 on, then the PC - Done
* Once into Windows, open DDM - Done
The monitor works with the DP cable as a stand alone monitor. However it still isn't recognised by DDM and if I try to MST another monitor using the DP out port, things don't work well. MST produces errors and I lose the mouse arrow.

It could just be a faulty U2413. What is the non-private 20 digit serial number. That will tell me when it was built.

Given the age and troubleshooting performed, either go back to using DVI-D or replace the monitor.

0xC0262583 is a Windows error that DDM is simply relaying: literally, "An error occurred while receiving data from the device on the I2C bus". Assuming your DP cable is ok and securely connected on both ends, you could try the following steps, in order:
1. Go into the U2413 OSD and make sure "DisplayPort 1.2" is set to DISABLE (its under "Display Settings"), then power cycle the monitor and restart DDM
2. Try a different/newer graphics driver version (sometimes support is broken in this or that build)
3. If you can, try using the miniDP connection on the monitor instead of the DP input (or vice versa)
