U2414H, HDMI
I have just bought a U2414H monitor CN09TG46-74261-4B05UCL but my motherboard (AsusP8H67- M Pro )has only AVG, DVI-D and HDMI outputs. Can I connect the two, please?

The monitor is now working! I was trying to set it up with my "old" analogue monitor still connected so I could keep up with your advice. All the time I was being told by "device manager" that the monitor was working properly. I read the U2414H manual which tells about the self test mode. This tells you to disconnect all other video output cables from your PC, including the one to the U2414H. I did this and the monitor passed all the tests. So I then reconnected just the U2414H and everything worked perfectly. I now get all the menu options I wasn't getting. Seems you must not try to simultaneously run 2 monitors on the motherboard I am using.
Thank you for your help and I hope this may be of assistance.

Hi Chris - I tried this and my PC got as far as the Windows welcome screen then reverted to the "No HDMI (MHL) cable" message. I know the HDMI cable is sound because I've tested it on my TV/DVD.

The U2414H has two HDMI in ports. With the computer on, you have to open the U2414H OSD (On Screen Display) -Input Source and choose/test both of the HDMI.

Hi again Chris -Firstly, I don't get an OSD like you show, I get straight to the "input source menu"
I've done as you say and selected/tested both HGMI ports and still get the "no cable" message on both.. I've tried another HDMI cable that I know is good but still the same.
