U2415, No input auto-detect?

Just bought several U2415 monitors -- one of the few 16:10 aspect ratio monitors.  Great colour, and resolution support.  I'm baffled though because there is no auto-detect function to switch inputs from multiple sources?

Am I wrong about this?   Older models had auto-detect as a menu option -- but I don't believe this is even an option on this latest/greatest monitor?

Any chance of a firmware fix for this?  (I suspect this has to do with low-energy compliance standards...)
