U2415, non-validated Apple PC, PSM

Question

I know the two are connected because if they are not, the monitor tells me there is no connection and gives me 5 minutes to set one up. When I do, it immediately goes into PSM (power save mode). I tried the reset suggested by a Dell representative in another post on this topic to no avail.

It was working fine. I unplugged the computer to take it on a research trip and when I returned two weeks later the above happened. I've restarted the computer etc.

It is a MacBook Pro 10.11.6

As we can see in the image below taken directly from the Dell U2415 driver page, the Apple proprietary operating system and hardware are not tested by Dell. You should post on the Apple Discussions Forum and see if they can offer some insight or troubleshooting steps. Is there a Windows PC to test this U2415 on?

Thank you for your answer. I spent about a half hour fiddling.... logging off and restarting, taking connections out and plugging them back in etc. -- and eventually it came on. Not sure why. I am quite sure I didn't have it in the MST port, but wonder if I erred. In any case, I will leave it as is and continue to cross my fingers when I turn it on.
