I connected my PS4 to my U2415 and noticed that everything looked “longer”. I tried changing my aspect ratio but nothing helped. Do you by any chance know how to change the U2415 1920x1080 resolution? Thank you for your time.
I believe @yumichan is correct. I just checked the U2415 displays I have and I couldn't find a 1:1 or "Maintain aspect ratio" mode. I was able to set Windows to 1920x1080 and see display a properly proportioned image, i.e. with black bars along the top and bottom, but that's because Windows nowadays seems to always send a native resolution signal on the wire, even if you tell it to render a desktop at a lower resolution, and then it just uses GPU scaling to bridge the gap between rendered resolution and "signal resolution". Keeping the signal resolution at the display's native resolution avoids display blackouts when you change resolutions and also accommodates displays that don't have scaling chips and/or don't support the desired scaling mechanism, as is the case here. But I'm not surprised that technique isn't available on consoles, since they wouldn't have been designed with 16:10 displays in mind.

U2415 and the former U2412M do hot have 1:1 or 16:9 image mode. You need to feed them 1920x1200 source otherwise it will expand.
If you want to play console games you'll need U24xxH models (or better)
