U2415, Windows 10, loses native resolution
My new U2415 monitor loses the 1900x1200 resolution every restart - I have to turn it off, unplug and restart it - using a Display port cable with no power savings set. Of course when the 1900x1200 display is returned the desktop icon locations are not remembered. It is on Windows 10 and all drivers are installed. About to return it and get a Samsung. Previously I had a Dell monitor for many many years with no problems.

This sounds more like a video card driver issue rather then a monitor issue.
* Click the Start button
* Click Control Panel
* Under Appearance and Personalization, click Adjust screen resolution
* The monitor model name should be listed next to "Display:"
- If you see the monitor listed correctly, then the monitor EDID (extended display identification data) was identified by Windows 10
- If not, Windows 10 did not see the monitor EDID

Also the Display Manager says please connect a supported Dell Monitor !

It shows 1. Dell U2415(miniDisplayPort)
I can get the 1900x1200 back by turning off the monitor - sometime twice !

* Good. So Windows 10 read the monitor EDID.
Also the Display Manager says please connect a supported Dell Monitor
* Is the monitor USB upstream cable connected from the monitor to a USB port on the computer?
What version of DDM is installed? While holding down the Shift key, right-click on the DDM system tray icon and select "Check for new version" from the popup menu. What happens?

The USB is connected directly to the motherboard.
I had DDM version 1.20.0.1476 and updated to 1.24.0.1586 and that caused more problems - desktop only filling 1/4 of screen, icons not operating, resolution locked a 1024x768. I had to unplug to get display back. I checked all the display and video drivers were up to date.
As a last resort before sending it back - I changed to an HDMI cable and all seems to be working now.
Also with the Display port cable I noticed that the ASUS POST was not displaying and it is now, so something weird going on somewhere.
Anyway thanks for trying Chris and this is a great monitor (NOW)
