U2417H, cracked LCD panel

Hi,

I managed to crack the LCD panel on my 6 month old monitor last night. Lovely colorful lines over a third of the screen, although the other half still works fine! Is it possible to buy a replacement LCD panel? I assume its not actually a hard repair to make. Or is the only solution to buy a new monitor?

Dell does not sell LCD panels or have monitor disassembly documentation. You would have to search the web for a reseller of monitor parts.

shame, also not great for environmental credentials if one has to chuck a whole monitor simply because one cannot get a panel with the right connectors.
