U2419HC, flickering edges
The edges of my monitor are flickering when doing things like scrolling. Seems to be exactly the same issue as described at the bottom of Solved: U2419H, automatic color temperature change - Dell Community as opening the settings menu or disabling overdrive fixes the issue. However disabling overdrive does not persist past turning the monitor off and on again so is not a permanent solution. I am extremely disappointed as my monitor is just outside Dell's warranty. How should I fix this issue?

Since it is out of warranty, there is no fix.
You will have to use the workaround and NOT turn the U2419HC off. Just set the operating system to use a screensaver.
