U2419HC, USB Type-C video stopped working
I have bought Dell U2419HC less than two years ago and have had no issues connecting it with two brand new HP laptops over USB Type-C port. The other day the video stopped working. Monitor is reporting no signal from USB Type-C port. Other than that the monitor is working fine, laptops are charging via USB Type-C cable, USB devices connected to the monitor are working and there is video signal via HDMI.
I have tried the following:
- hard resetting the monitor;
- restarting both laptops;
- updating the firmware;
- running reset, self-test and built-in diagnostic;
- buying a new usb c cable (this one) for which I'm not sure if it's in accordance with Dell's specifications;
- connecting laptops to its dedicated chargers while they're connected to the monitor.
I would rule out the laptops as they have different specifications and both of them were working fine just days ago.
Any other ideas of what I could try? Thank you!

Hi Chris,
Thank you for a prompt reply. I have already tried both suggested solutions. I have done hard reset of the monitor several times and have changed the output settings on both laptops, as well as input settings on monitor without success.

* Turn the U2419HC off
* Disconnect every cable from the U2419HC
* Press and hold the U2419HC power button for 8 seconds
* Reconnect the power cable and USB Type-C cable to the U2419HC
* Power on and retest. If still not working, continue
* Laptop is on, lid is open, U2419HC is on and connected via USB Type-C cable
* Press the U2419HC Input Source button
- Check USB Type-C
- Auto Select set to On
- Auto Select for USB-C set to Yes
* Exit the Menu
* Go to the laptop keys and look for the FN+key to extend the Windows desktop to an external monitor
