U2515H, two with color difference

I bought two identical Dell U2515H few weeks apart. There is a significant color difference between two panels. Recent one has much more of yellow tint. I got this replaced by the shop but the problem persists. I have eliminated all the factors other than the panel itself- I used DP cables to connect both screens and used exactly the same settings for both monitors. When I connected "yellow" panel to other computer, it still had yellowish tint. I presume that each screen is from different batch. Is this normal that there is so much difference between color quality?

Each display must have its own display profile and each profile must be made with a calibration device, preferable an i1display Pro.

Until you calibrate them using calibration hardware and software, yes, there could be this much difference. Did you reset them both to Factory settings in the OSD (On Screen Display) -Others? If it were me, I would simply use the OSD -Color -Preset Modes and first test each Color Temp on the right monitor to see if a better match appears. Then use OSD -Color -Preset Modes -Custom Color and tweak the right one. What are the 20 digit serial and revision numbers?

Thanks for the reply.

I made sure that all the factors other than the display are not affecting the picture:

- using the same cables- DP

- using the same display profiles in mac OS for both monitors.

- reset factory settings in both monitors

When all the above is done the result is like on the picture in previous post.

I have tried different settings on the right "yellow" monitor (that I am considering faulty) but was unable to match colour (tried colour temperature and custom colour).

I get the closest match if I put both monitors to custom colour mode and reduce blue colour in the left monitor buy 2 points. If I change monitors to any other presents (even if they are the same on both monitors i.e. "game" or "standard") the colour difference is again huge- like in picture in previous post. This limits use of monitors.

I do not think such big difference in colour is acceptable.

I looked online on independent private review websites and some users reported similar problems and had their products replaced.

Serial numbers:

Left one: CN-09X2VY-64180-617-0YQL-A02

Right one ("yellow one"): CN-09X2VY-64180-61E-0EDL-A02

Revision: REV A02

Please advise whether I can arrange replacement through your service or shall I speak to the shop I purchased this product from.

Dells warranty does not cover color uniformity differences between two like model monitors. Technically, both are in manufacturer specification for color uniformity.

I can tell that the monitor in left is the mid. 2015 version and the one in right is March 2016 REV A02. you must set the new version to Color Temp 7500K to match the one in left!

left "Standard" right "ColorTemp 7500K"

I rlly don't now why Dell changed that with the new version?!

Thanks for the advice. I have worked it out now but this solution is still far from satisfactory. As soon as you change settings on one or two monitors i.e. because you want to work a lot on white txt documents, the problems comes back. I have received refund from the seller anyway now.

Dell- Sort this out please.
