U2713HM - calibration procedure

Hi all

A quick question regarding keeping my newly perchased Dell U2713HM properly calibrated.

I do a lot of photo editing so I calibrated the monitor using Spyder 4 Elite. The calibration was successful.

However, following that, whenever I entered any games, the monitor would automatically readjust the screen to its Game preset. This happened irrespective of whether I set the presets to Auto or Manual options in Dell Display Manager.

Once I disabled the ability to do monitor adjustments using software in the monitor's OSD (I think it was the "DCI - Disable" option), the automatic readjustment to one of the monitors presets has stopped, and my monitor now stays calibrated (as per Spyder 4 calibration).

Please could you confirm that this is indeed what I should have done - disabled the ability to adjust monitor using Display Manager? Or did I miss some other option which would stop the monitor readjusting the colours automatically?

Thanks for reaching out to us. The Dell U2713HM monitor automatically provides the computer system with its Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) using Display Data Channel (DDC) protocols so the system can configure itself and optimize the monitor settings. What you have done is correct. Disbaling to auto adjust would help. For anything else, please do let me know and I'm glad to assist further.
