U2715H, vertical lines

I recently purchased a model built Aug 2016, rev A03. It worked fine for a few days until this issue came up or of nowhere. They are vertical colored lines that distort most of the picture. Looks like a broken TV.

Per the manual, I preformed a factory reset but there issue persisted. I left the monitor unplugged overnight and then it worked fine for an hour until the issue resumed. The issue persists regardless of the type of cable I use (HDMI, DP, etc).

Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Perform the monitor stand alone BID (Built-in Diagnostic). Post pictures of the BID colored screens showing us the issue.

Here is the additional info:

* Was the monitor purchased directly from Dell or some reseller? And when? Purchased from reseller August 2017.

* What is the 20 digit alpha-numeric monitor serial number and A0x revision? CN-0H7YCC-64180-68A-08RL, rev A03

* To what computer model is the monitor attached? Dell XPS 13 9343

* What video card/GPU is in the computer? Intel HD Graphics 5500

* What video out ports are on the video card/GPU or computer? Mini DisplayPort only

* List all monitor cables and adapters attached to the computer and the ports they are using and how they are connecting to the monitor. I have tried mDP to DP, and mDP to HDMI. Nothing else is connected to both the computer and monitor.

* What operating system is installed on the computer? Windows 10 Pro

* What Windows power plan? Custom plan, set to never sleep.

* If functional in Windows, press the monitor Menu button to open the monitor OSD (On Screen Display). The bottom of that screen should show a resolution. What is listed? 2560 x 1440

Because you bought this monitor from a reseller and not Dell, the 3 year warranty started on the build date of August 1, 2016 OR 3 years from the service tag number. Not from when you bought it from the reseller. Get the monitor exchanged.
