U2723QE, black screen when switching inputs
Hey all, I've got a U2723QE which I have hooked up to a windows pc (nvidia gpu) over displayport and a 2019 macbook pro (over usb-c). Often when I plug in the laptop with the usb-c cable, it causes the display to freeze on a black screen and become totally unresponsive (power/menu button does nothing). The only way to get the display back to life again is a hard power reset.

userDell123,
1. Since when have you been facing this issue?
2. Are you also using the same windows and Mac Setup as the original post?
3. Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own?
4. Have you installed the Dell Display manager application on both the systems?
5. How are the systems connected to the monitor? Is there a dock involved in the setup?
6. Are the drivers for the monitor installed on both the computers?

I'm glad to know it's not just me experiencing this. I'm tired of starting every day by fiddling with my monitor's power cable...!

Hi everyone, I am having the same issues as described on the post above. The only difference is that my wndows pc is connected through a docking station. This station is then connected with displayport to the monitor. The other device is an intel 2019 macbook pro connected directly with usb-c.
Has anyone managed to resolve this issue?

I am also experiencing the same issues as described above, except it happens even without switching inputs. My U2723QE monitor is connected via USB-C directly to a Razer 17" laptop running Windows 11. Over the past few weeks, the monitor has become unresponsive on 4 separate occasions (blank screen, power and menu buttons do not function). In this state, I have had to pull the power to hard reset the monitor to make it functional again.
I can't pinpoint the exact triggers for this issue. I do not change inputs (it is always connected to the same device via USB-C), but the issue has occurred 3 of the 4 times while playing a game (perhaps related to a resolution change?). The other time it occurred was while editing videos with Adobe Premier. I do have the monitor driver and Dell Display manager application installed.
I suspect the issue will require a firmware update to the monitor -- am hoping Dell will be able to pinpoint and resolve the issue quickly.
